we are thoroughly enjoying our new home, and are trying to take advantage of all our space... so, we spent a night out on the back porch.

easter weekend.

this weekend was full of excitement.
on friday, we were surprised by the visit of one of gabe's childhood friends. he surprised us all the way from missouri, for the weekend.
we had family dinner, brewed beer @ the farm, hiked, ate out, went flying, watched movies, cooked out, went to church, went out to brunch, and had lots of laughs, and made lots of memories.

thirty weeks.
ok, this picture does NOT do the bump justice. it is actually MUCH bigger, my camera must just be trying to make me feel better about my enormous body. (thank you, camera)

three years ago, on april first, my best friend got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.
easiest. decision. ever.

weekend fun.

this weekend was packed full of fun times.
first, we decided to make an ikea run- which means atlanta!!... so, gabe jetted out of work a little early on friday so we could head to atlanta, to shop for our empty house. =)
3 hours later, miles and miles of walking around ikea, we made it out! i swear we felt like we bought all of ikea that night, but it was super fun, and totally worth the sore feet!

we made it home late friday night, and couldn't wait for a quiet saturday morning, so we could sleep in. and then..... it had to begin. the only downside to shopping @ ikea is that you have to BUILD EVERY SINGLE THING YOU BUY. oh my goodness, i love ikea, but i hate their assembly directions! so, the better half of our saturday was spent assembling all our purchases.... it was totally worth it though!

since we had spent every night this week working on the house, and spent saturday putting furniture together, we decided that after church on sunday we were going to do something different that we hadn't done in a while- so, we took cannon to the nature center for a hike on the trails on the side of lookout mountain. holy cow- @ 7.5 months pregnant, hiking up the side of the mountain is NEARLY impossible. and to top it off- what we thought would be a fun 2 mile loop ended up being a seemingly never ending FOUR mile loop.

we thought cannon was going to over- heat.

needless to say, we spent the rest of sunday afternoon cooking up a HUGE meal, and then napping all afternoon. was delightful!
